Energy saving solutions
Energy audits, VFD assessment and KPI reporting.
Steam, compressed air, cooling and pumping are a large part of a factory's energy use. This page explains what an energy audit looks at and what data to prepare.
Request an energy audit How to get a quotation
What it addresses
Losses from compressed air leaks, failed steam traps, missing insulation, lost condensate and motors running at full speed when they do not need to are common, and often unmeasured.
An audit measures where fuel and electricity go, so improvements can be ranked by cost and expected benefit before money is spent.
What we cover
- Plant-wide energy audit across all utilities
- Steam trap, insulation and condensate recovery review
- Compressed air leak detection
- VFD assessment and monthly KPI reporting
Typical applications
- Plants that want to know where their fuel and electricity go
- A ranked list of improvements, with estimated costs and paybacks, before budgeting
- Checking steam traps, insulation, condensate recovery and compressed air leaks
- Assessing whether variable frequency drives (VFDs) suit pumps, fans and compressors
- Monthly KPI reporting after improvements are made
System considerations
- Metering: what is measured today and what needs temporary measurement
- A baseline of production, fuel and electricity for a representative period
- Which utilities use the most energy, so the audit starts where it matters
- Savings estimates depend on running hours, load profile and energy prices
- Some measures need a shutdown to install
What to prepare before an assessment or quotation
- Fuel and electricity bills for the last 12 months, if available
- Production figures for the same period
- A list of the main utility equipment: boilers, compressors, chillers, pumps and fans
- Running hours and shift pattern
- Any previous audit reports
Limits of this information
Savings can only be estimated after measurement on site, and actual savings depend on how measures are implemented and operated. We do not quote a saving before an audit.
Assessment and quotation
Projects start with a site visit to understand the plant and the requirement, followed by feasibility and system design. Send us the details above through the enquiry form, on WhatsApp or by email, and say whether you need a technical assessment or a quotation.
